School visits

Looking to bring a real-life astronomer into your classroom? I can visit in-person or on zoom.

There is so much more out there in the Universe that we can’t see with our eyes. The light we can see, optical or visible light, is only a tiny piece of the whole spectrum oflight. We use all the different colours to explore the Universe.

I present on a range of astronomy topics, what it’s like to be a scientist, or about a career in astronomy. For in-person sessions, I also offer activities and workshops (for smaller class sizes). I am an experienced school presenter, I have visited students from prep/foundation (5-6 years old) to final year high school students.

I currently hold valid Working with Children Checks in New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia.

I sometimes visit Melbourne and Canberra. In-person visits to these areas, or to regional NSW and Victoria, are possible but may require more flexibility.
